The house's name – Viterbo – is also a tribute to Francisco Marques Sousa Viterbo . Born in Porto in 1845, Sousa Viterbo was a multifaceted personality who worked in various fields, having been a poet, archaeologist, historian, and journalist. Viterbo'8 - The Artists House is an extension of the spirit of a city where art is breathed in every corner, in its most varied forms. With an irreverent decoration, perfectly aligned with the artistic atmosphere to which each apartment is dedicated, the house transports you to a dimension where every space and every detail are true works of art.

Apartamento Literatura is a mirror of the history of Portugal. With a quote from the most acclaimed Portuguese epic work - Os Lusíadas - in a room in the apartment, it is clear the tribute to Luís Vaz de Camões.

Apartamento Arquitetura lives on the second floor of the Viterbo8 The Artists House and illustrates Portuguese architecture, an artistic style marked by various eras in history, which has resulted in a heritage where the influence of different cultural and aesthetic movements is palpable.
Apartamento Arquitetura comes to represent acclaimed names of contemporary Portuguese architecture, as is the case of Álvaro Siza Vieira and Eduardo Souto Moura, both holders of the most important recognition that an architect can receive. Both Siza Vieira and Souto Moura won the biggest world award in the field of architecture: the Pritzker Prize.
